Anthi Kosma is an architect whose research focuses on drawing as a means of sentimental expression, embodied experience, and poetic force through improvisation.
- She holds a PhD (2014 Cum Laude & special honor) and DEA (2008),in architecture from the School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM) under the supervision of Javier Seguí de la Riva, with scholarships from IKY and Triandafyllidis Foundation respectively.
- Since 2019 is giving classes as visiting professor at the Department of Architecture at the University of Thessaly, (Volos) and during the academic year 2022-23 at National Technical University of Athens. She is also an advisor at TransArt Institute since 2020.
- The academic year 2017-18 she gave classes at the School of Architecture in Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), where she got her Bachelor of Architecture (2005).
- Her main research interest is in non-representative drawing as a radical imaginary technique, a configurational ‘therapy’ with the capacity to experiment with oneself, a mute language in general, and an exploratory action in the field of architecture specifically.
- She has organized several workshops, named "Imprográfika", on experimental drawing (digital and analogical) and graphic improvisations, in Spain and abroad, such as online courses at the Mexican platform of visual arts, “Taller Multinacional”.
- She worked with “N+10” architects -1st prize at the competition for 100 social houses in Madrid- (2011-12 and 2016-2022), with "xza-architects" at the New Cyprus Museum (2019-21) and she has realized several architectural projects by herself.
- She runs "Imprográfika" a blog on narratives about drawing.
- Artistically is also known as “anthokosmos”, a cosmos of blossoms.
